Ouch!- Mobility Issues related to joint pain.

Just like humans, your doggie’s joints can hurt. It may show up as your dog not quickly jumping on your bed for morning hugs or leaping into the car for Sunday drives.  Also, just like in humans, supplements, vitamins, and minerals can aid in joint support.

Some studies suggest that glucosamine and chondroitin can assist with achy joints by helping build and maintain good cartilage. The key is consistency.

Omega-3 fish oil is another supplement that can ease inflammation and help with mobility.  Always choose supplement dosage designed for your dog’s weight.  If in doubt, ask your veterinarian.

But when the pain becomes too much, you may want to check into mobility assisted products such as stairs for your bed or ramps for your vehicle.

P.S. Extra pounds may play a part in the mobility of your dog. Even a couple of pounds can make a big difference.  Not sure how much your dog should weight? Another good question for your veterinarian.
